Color PPG Paint Code For All Colors The paint used for the 1997-98 colors is PPG and is a DAU base coat (this will make sense to a PPG dealer who will be mixing the paint). The clear coat used is PPG DCU-2020.

Four parts clear to 1 part hardener to 11/2 parts reducer. Spray 1 drop coat over whole part then apply 2 wet coats over entire part.

2. Mix 27 grams of House of Color PP5 Prism Pearl Blue with on full liter of Sikkens 666 Binder. Spray 3 coats.
3. Spray 3 coats Sikkens Autoclear.		 Production paint for these years was supplied by Sikkens. The following formulas should allow a Sikkens dealer to mix paint that will match the Buell factory color.
Red Snap
1. Spray 3 coats Ford 87-88 color code FA87:RS.
2. Spray 3 coats Sikkens Autoclear.
Yellow Jacket Pearl
1. Spray 3 coats Sikkens 297 Base.
2. Spray 3 coats Sikkens SEC Honey Yellow Pearl.
3. Spray 3 coats Sikkens Autoclear.
Ice White Pearl
1. Spray 3 coats Sikkens 00 Base.
2. Mix 2 parts Sikkens 333PB with 1 part Sikkens 666 Binder. Spray 3 coats.

Carribean Candy Blue
1. Spray 3 coats Sikkens 333 FC.
2. Mix 10% Sikkens 261 with 90% Sikkens 666 Binder. Spray 3 coats.
